New heavyweight champ Tyson Fury says 'A woman's best place is on her back' (VIDEO)

Newly crowned world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is facing criticism for spouting the kind of derogatory nonsense that has become as much his trademark as his fists.

And might be facing one big opponent outside the ring — namely the PC Police.

Fury's latest controversy surrounds the sexist remarks he made in an interview, filmed by the online boxing channel IFL TV, that was posted to YouTube on Nov. 25, days before the British boxer's stunning victory over Wladimir Klitschko — ending the Ukrainian’s nine-year reign as heavyweight champion.

“I believe a woman’s best place is in the kitchen and on her back, that’s my personal belief,” Fury said in the video interview. “Making me a good cup of tea, that’s what I believe.”

And the 27-year-old Fury, on the shortlist for the BBC's "Sports Personality of the Year" for 2015 award, didn't stop there.

He also gave his caveman views on women in boxing: “I think they are very nice when they’re walking around that ring holding them cards.”

And on gold-medal-winning heptathlete and English sports darling Jessica Ennis-Hill: “I think she’s good, she’s won quite a few medals for Britain, she slaps up good as well, when she’s got a dress on she looks quite fit.”

Fury had already created a furor for unabashedly condemning the legalization of homosexuality and abortion. And, in another recent interview with The Mirror, Fury said: “There are girls who open their legs to every Tom, Dick and Harry. They are looked upon as rubbish. If I had a sister who did that, I’d hang her.”

He even dissed MMA, saying he heard it's for "white kids who can't box."

The BBC said it has no plans to remove Fury from the SPOTY shortlist despite the emergence of the interview.

Fury captured the WBA, IBF and WBO belts via a unanimous points decision last weekend. I don't think that SPOTY is such a sure bet.

Bernard Hopkins becomes oldest boxer to win major title

Bernard Hopkins once again defied the odds — and Father Time — to become the oldest man to ever win a major world boxing title after he scored a 12-round unanimous decision over Tavoris Cloud to win the IBF light-heavyweight title at the Barclays Center on Saturday night.

The ageless 48-year-old Hopkins (53-6-2, 32 KOs) pulled out a collection of tricks from his three decades of experience to school the 31-year-old Cloud (24-1, 19 KOs) and hand him his first defeat.

The sometimes brash and outspoken Hopkins beat his own record of winning a title at 46 when he defeated Jean Pascal for the WBC 174-pound title in 2011.

Hopkins started the fight by clinging on to Cloud — who has been called a mini-Mike Tyson — before a warning from referee Earl Brown to be more active.  Cloud took advantage of his speed over his flat-footed opponent who skirted the ropes to avoid Cloud's heavy-handed misses.

In the fifth, a cut opened over Cloud's right eye and streamed blood until his corner stemmed the bleeding until the eighth round.

Hopkins took advantage of the situation and slipped, ducked and countered what the generation-younger fighter threw at him. It was like a father spanking his son.

By the 12th and final round, the crowd of 12,293 was chanting "B-Hop! B-Hop!"

In the end, judges Tom Schreck and John Poturaj both scored it 116-112 while judge John Stewart had it 117-112 — all for Hopkins.

"I just wanted to use my speed and reflexes, which I still have at 48-years-old," Hopkins said after the upset. "I stuck to the plan. I took some time to get warmed up. He's a gutsy, young champion. I have a history of destroying young champions that you'll never see again."

With Hopkins, every opponent is young — even if in boxer's years they're not.
