Graphic photos of Chad Johnson's ex-wife's head injuries shed new light on domestic violence incident

Chad Johnson — the NFL star formerly known as Ochocinco — was released from jail early after slapping the backside of his attorney in court the other day while appearing for a probation violation charge stemming from a domestic violence arrest last summer.

One thing Johnson may not be so happy to see released are the shocking photos of the injuries his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada suffered in that infamous headbutting incident which left a bloody, three-inch laceration on her forehead.

TMZ has obtained photographic evidence of Lozada's gruesome injuries to her head and face stemming from that incident — and what the images reveal isn't pretty.

The photos, which were taken in the Florida emergency room where Lozada was transported following the August 11, 2012 attack, were taken by the Davie police.  The three-inch gash puts a whole new light on just how hard Johnson headbutted his wife and how serious her injuries really were.

Johnson was arrested for domestic violence shortly after the explosive argument at his Jupiter, FL mansion. Lozada filed for divorce three days later.

Following the arrest, Chad pled "no contest" to the domestic violence charge and was sentenced to 12 months probation and domestic violence classes.

Johnson was thrown back in the slammer last week after slapping his lawyer's rear during a sentencing hearing.  That flick of his hand got Johnson a 30-day sentence from an angry female judge who threw the book at him.

The sentence was reduced Monday after it was decided that seven days in stir was enough to teach Johnson a lesson and save taxpayers a few dollars by not keeping him fed and clothed in orange jumpsuits for another three weeks.

During Monday's hearing, the judge called the head gash photos "horrific."

Chad Johnson sues two websites for posting 'stolen' sex tape

Chad Johnson (the former Ochocinco) has gathered his legal team and is taking action against two websites for posting a sex tape he claims was stolen from his phone.

Johnson admitted he was involved in the sex tape, made three years ago with two women, but never publicly released the video.

The former NFL star  is suing WorldStar HipHop.com and Media Takeout for the now infamous video shot in a Florida hotel room, reports TMZ.  The lawsuit charges the sites with posting the tape without his consent.

Johnson's lawyers successfully got the two sites to pull the footage after firing off cease-and-desist letters last week.  He is seeking unspecified financial damages, reported TMZ.

Sources told the gossip site that while Johnson has never denied making the cheesy video, he claims the footage was swiped from his cell phone.

The video is the latest embarrassment for the 34-year-old former Miami Dolphins receiver.  His wife of 41 days, Evelyn Lozada, divorced him after he was arrested for allegedly headbutting her in a domestic dispute.  The Aug. 11 incident led to him being dropped by the Dolphins and he has been without an NFL job since.

Chad Johnson admits role in sex tape that has gone viral

Former NFL star Chad Johnson has admitted to being the man in a sex tape co-starring two female friends making the Internet rounds but claims he didn't leak it to a website.

Johnson acknowledges  ... a sex tape which appears to feature the former Miami Dolphin — along with two women — is real — but he insists he never wanted the video to go public, reports TMZ.

The former All-Pro told TMZ he had no idea how the tape — which was shot three years ago in a Florida hotel room — was leaked to the Internet and said he is not happy that it has gone viral.

So far the video has only made it into cyberspace in bits and pieces — although the entire tape is "substantial in length."   An R-rated snippet can be seen at missjia.com.

Johnson has been looking to hook up with an NFL team since being released by the Dolphins after being arrested for an domestic incident with his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada over the summer.

Lozada confirmed that the sex tape released Christmas morning is of Johnson but said the video is "old news."

In his first press conference with the Dolphins in August, Johnson was asked what he would be doing if he wasn't playing football.  The wide receiver replied, "I was thinking about going into porn.  It's not funny.  I got to earn a living."

He is now exploring his legal options in hopes of having the tape removed from the website.

Chad Johnson enrolled in anger management classes

Chad Johnson is finally coming to grips with his demons.

After getting cut by the Miami Dolphins, following his domestic-abuse arrest for allegedly head-butting his then-wife Evelyn Lozada, Johnson is now without a team, divorced and hoping to get the train back on the tracks.

The six-time All-Pro receiver has assessed his life and career in the hope he can one last shot at redemption.

Johnson's regrets were evident when when he somberly admitted his pain and his plans during an interview that aired on Showtime's Inside the NFL.

"I'm taking classes, anger management classes," he said.  "I'm trying to find out how I can channel my anger when I'm in situations to where I would pop off.  How can I defuse those situations?"

The 34-year old knows the market for a self-promoting wide out with dwindling numbers and a posse with more lawyers than fans is not enticing to any NFL team.  Just ask Plaxico Burress and Terrell Owens.

"When you get a humble Chad Johnson that has lost everything and has to work his way back up, that's a big deal.  Because you're not getting that same individual, you're not getting that same fun guy ... I gotta prove a point," he said.  "That's the scariest thing in the world to have someone that has that drive."

Johnson still thinks he has some gas left in his tank and believes the only reason he was cut by the Dolphins was for the arrest and not his performance in training camp.

"That was the reason.  There was no need to blow smoke up my ass, you know what I mean?" he said. "First off, I lost two things I love, honestly.  Football, I love.  You know that,  And you know the way I play the game, I enjoy it, I have fun with it, you know?  And being married, being a husband, a lover, it was an honor. You know what I mean?  And I lost that.  And you know the saying,'You never know what you have until it's gone?'

"And now I finally know what they mean."

Chad Johnson: Porn would be my second job

Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson gave his first press conference of the season in his new Miami Dolphins surroundings and it was a foul-mouthed event that touched on everything from taking rookies to the best strip clubs, painting his fingernails black and careers in porn if he wasn't playing pro football.

In keeping with the "Hard Knocks" theme in camp, Johnson was asked Wednesday if he wasn't playing football what would he be doing?

A deadpanned Johnson replied," I was thinking about going into porn. It's not funny.  I got to earn a living."

Asked if his new wife would mind, the eccentric wide receiver claimed she would have no say in the matter.

"I have to provide," he said.

Maybe Johnson was cutting loose for the HBO cameras or just letting off steam after a failed stint with the New England Patriots.  He said he was able "to breathe again" after being released from the stifling hand of Patriot's coach Bill Belichick.

Johnson— who changed his name back from Ochocinco because his wife wanted a normal married name— might want to change it again if he does some blue movies.

Ocho (fill in the blank) might be good.  Hard Knocks would take on a whole new meaning too.

Ochocinco robbed, most upset about losing Starbucks card

New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco had his Cadillac Escalade broken into Wednesday and noticed his credit cards, driver's license, and iPod were all missing but the thing that he was really worried about was his Starbucks card.

Ochocinco was headed to a workout at Gillette Stadium when he was informed he could not get access due to restrictions in the new collective bargaining agreement.  Instead, he went to IHOP to get breakfast and— when he returned to his SUV— he found out someone had broken into it.

An angry and visibly upset Ochocinco went to Twitter and— in a two-minute video— let his followers know how mad he was about his losses— especially the Starbucks Gold card.

"I earned the gold card," Ochocinco said.  "You know how many coffees I've had to drink and lemon loafs I've had to purchase to get that gold card? Like, I had $220 left on my Starbucks card.  Not just any Starbucks card, but a gold Starbucks card."

The crushed Ochocinco's day took a positive turn after one of his Twitter followers said her mother had found his wallet in Providence, R.I. and it still contained his credit cards and license.

Sadly, the Starbucks gold card was missing.  Still, there was a happy ending after the company tweeted that they would send him a replacement card.

Ochocinco treats doscientos (200) fans to dinner

New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco invited all of his Twitter fans in New York City to dine with him at the famed Sylvia's Restaurant in Harlem last night— for free.  That's nada.

He tweeted, "Dinner in NY tonight—> 1st 200 people at Sylvia's Restaurant by 7 pm in Harlem.  Leave ya money/credit cards at home.  I got you this time."

It's surprising that Ochocinco's 4:13 pm tweet didn't attract more of a crowd.  According to the restaurant, only about 50 people were turned away after the first 200 were seated.

I guess New York Jets fans can sure hold a grudge— even with a free meal at stake.

It might sound surprising that a player from the Jets biggest rival would treat a group of New Yorkers to a good time, but it isn't the first occasion he has picked up the tab on enemy turf.

In 2010, he bought steak dinners for 85 fans at a Cleveland steak house and has been known to take random fans to the movies in various cities where he plays.

This lucky group was treated to dinners of ribs, fried chicken, greens and macaroni and cheese at the Lenox Avenue landmark.

Ochocinco, who personally greeted each and every guest, did not speak at length to the media, saying it was a "family affair" and he gained "200 family members."

He even got closer to his new "relatives" by giving them his phone number.

The generous NFL star was in New York to finalize a deal on a new VH1 reality show that chronicles his upcoming marriage to Evelyn Losado titled, "Eva and Ocho."

Poor Evelyn, she probably doesn't know she just picked up 200 more in-laws.
