Mario Balotelli launches new line of Puma cleats featuring mohawk (PHOTOS)

Italian soccer star Mario Balotelli is a player who is both stylish and larger than life.

And the new junior soccer boots the Liverpool star recently launched reflect that individuality — and weirdness — and come with one of the bad boy of soccer's most distinguishable trademarks — his mohawk. 

The Puma evoPOWER cleats, only available in kids' sizes, have Balotelli’s infamous slogan ‘why always me?’ on the side and with a little row of fuzz on the heel:

And if that wasn't enough, how about a mohawked soccer ball?

The shoes will run you about $50, while the ball goes for around $18.

Three major shoe companies are reportedly battling to sign Italian soccer star Mario Balotelli to a new shoe contract. In the meantime, Balotelli has gotten creative while deciding whose shoes he'll be wearing.

After playing several games for AC Milan with his boots completely blacked out, Balotelli unveiled new cleats on Monday that were completely covered in newspaper, featuring headlines from moments from his well-documented soccer career.

The most prominent headline is "WHY ALWAYS ME?" which refers to the famous undershirt Balotelli revealed after scoring a goal against Manchester United.

It is believed that Nike, Puma, and adidas are competing to sign the soccer star and, as long as the controversial Super Mario is playing, there will never be a shortage of headline material for these kicks.
