The week leading up to the Winter Classic on New Year's Day will feature a massive Winter Festival taking place at Comerica Park with multiple outdoor games. That means even more specialty equipment for the event. We've already seen Grand Rapids Griffins goaltender Petr Mrazek's adorable snowman pads, now we have Thomas McCollum's tribute to Chris Farley.

On the backplate of McCollum's Grand Rapids mask, he prominently features the late actor as the title character from the 1990s comedy classic Tommy Boy. The rest is pretty standard specialty logos for the special occasion, with images commemorating Grand Rapids' Calder Cup title from last season.

A swarm of bees invaded the outfield of Angels Stadium during the Mariners-Angels game sending players and fans scattering around the park and delaying the ballgame for 23 minutes.
