Amar'e Stoudemire calls killer's manifesto a 'must read' via Twitter

Amar'e Stoudemire's literary recommendations may not have the reach of Oprah's Book Club but the New York Knicks forward stuck out his neck by hyping the crazed manifesto of ex-cop turned murderer Christopher Dorner as a "must read."

The Knicks star posted a link to the ex-LAPD cop's manifesto on his Twitter page Sunday with the words: "Interesting. This is a must read."

Dorner addressed his declaration of war on the LAPD "to America."

In his disturbing 20-page rant Dorner left on his Facebook page, the fired cop rails against police corruption in the LAPD, and paints himself as victim of racism for reporting a sergeant for brutality and crossing the thin blue line.

The disgraced cop killed himself inside a burning cabin on a California mountain after killing four people as revenge and becoming a fugitive for 10 days.

Stoudemire wasn't specific on his tweet but some of the player's 806,000 Twitter followers were a little  peeved by his nightstand recommendation.

"Really?! A murderer's hateful manifesto is worth reading?" one follower tweeted back.

Stoudemire is entitled to his own reading choices but he might want to leave this social media tome on the shelf.
