Islanders coach Jack Capuano takes puck to face, watches team win (VIDEO)

New York Islanders' Jack Capuano may want to ask his equipment manager to bring an extra helmet for Game 2 of his team's second round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning after the head coach was nailed in the face with a puck during the opening matchup.

Capuano was forced to leave the bench after a puck deflected from the ice and hit him directly in the face. But what might have been more painful was hearing his team's 4-1 lead get cut down to 4-2 in the third period from the locker room.

Capuano immediately dropped after getting hit. He needed to be helped off the bench by the trainers while holding a towel to his face.

And while Capuano was out, the Lightning scored another goal to cut the deficit to a single goal. However, minutes after Capuano came back to the bench the Isles scored the empty-net goal to seal a 5-3 Game 1victory.

Later, coach had the bruised nose to show for it.

Rangers' Derick Brassard blindsides Kings' Dustin Brown (VIDEO)

In Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final Wednesday night, Derick Brassard delivered a check to the body of Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown in the second period. Brown was slammed into the boards and went down immediately.

Brown lay on the ice for a few moments and was tended to by a Kings trainer. He skated to the Kings' bench, but didn't go to the locker room.

Brassard was called for a two-minute boarding minor. The Rangers killed off the penalty and the score remained tied at 2. Brown returned to the game a few minutes later.

Brassard should know how a hard check feels. He missed a couple games of the Eastern Conference Final after a hard check by Montreal Canadiens' Mike Weaver.

The NHL Department of Player Safety takes a look at all these hits, but could this one cost the Rangers another player due to suspension?

Lucky fan purchases ticket to World Series Game 1 for only $6 online

And you thought those "fake" Banksy prints were the only deals of the week.

That was until, what one can only assume was a careless oversight, a lucky fan was able to purchase a ticket to Game 1 of the World Series for only $6 on StubHub on Monday. And the jubilant buyer even  sent Deadspin this copy of his email confirmation as proof:

The ticket itself was only $3 with the StubHub service fee accounting for the other $3. The best available price for that section -- Right Field Box 97 -- is $759.00 right now, with most tickets over $850 and closer to $1,000.

Whether or not the seller misplaced a decimal point — making it  either way underpriced ($300.00) or way overpriced ($3,000.00) — or was just being kind, there is one happy fan going to Wednesday's Red Sox-Cardinals game for less than the price of a hot dog.
