While many people across the world mourned the the death of Nelson Mandela — South Africa's anti-apartheid voice and former president — on Friday, one TV station is bowing its head in embarrassment.
During a news broadcast, a local Detroit TV station, WDIV, made a serious gaffe — slapping Alex Rodriguez's face next to the words "Remembering Nelson Mandela" on the broadcast graphic.
The graphic only stayed up for a matter of seconds before it switched to Mandela's face when the anchors threw to a reporter standing outside in downtown Detroit.
WDIV later apologized. But, seriously, how does this stuff happen?

Your blog is absolutely worth to read if anybody comes throughout it. I'm lucky I did because now I've got a whole new view of this. I didn't realize that this issue was so important and so universal. You certainly put it in perspective for me.
