Iowa State trailed by as many as 20 to their in-state rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes and, although the Cyclones entered the night ranked fourth in the country, the comeback was enough to inspire a court storming from the fans that turned into a wild mob scene.
And one unlucky casualty of the hysteria was Register beat reporter Randy Peterson, who ended up with fractures in his leg.

It's a good bet that this incident will have the Fun Police piping up about the problem of court storming and the conversation will once again turn to how to keep fans from running amok after games.

While Peterson seemed to handle things in good humor, tweeting simply "Ouch" after the game, Iowa State says they are taking the matter quite seriously.

And if Cyclones fans can get this wound up about beating an unranked opponent, imagine the fallout when they actually beat a team of real substance?
