Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ Sports that two men had been hired to work on Mayweather's Las Vegas homes — but when some jewelry went missing — the champ accused the pair of the theft and exacted his own brand of revenge.
It all went down after the men claim they were contacted several weeks ago and instructed to meet Mayweather at an off-site location, according to the gossip site.
When the men arrived, they said Mayweather was waiting for them — along with a number of his "people" — and the group proceeded to beat the both of them with various weapons, including clubs.
The attack was so brutal the men could have easily died, sources told TMZ. Both men had broken arms and legs and were hospitalized for several days.
One source put it this way, "It was some 'Breaking Bad' s**t."
Both men are adamant they never took anything from Mayweather and it appears he realizes that now. But here lies the problem for the undefeated fighter — sources familiar with the situation say the attack amounts to attempted murder, mayhem and kidnapping.
The two men have reportedly retained a lawyer.
