Japanese skier Taihei Kato suffered a broken arm during a run in the Nordic combined large hill event Tuesday when he lost his balance after landing, hitting the ground hard. NBC's spin of the bone busting spill made it sound less painful than it actually was.
NBC replayed the video highlight and said "Japanese jumper lands safely, loses ski."
Well… he did lose a ski.
Kato ended up at the hospital and will be out for the cross-country portion of the event.
