Ronda Rousey to play lead role in 'Road House' reboot: Report

Ronda Rousey will be taking her MMA act back to the big screen after being cast in the lead role in an upcoming reboot the 1989 cult classic Road House.



The UFC bantamweight champion will be cast in a role that is basically a female version of Dalton (originally played by the late Patrick Swayze) — the Zen bouncer who kicked a lot of hillbilly butt in the original version.

The fighter reportedly reached out to Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi, to ask for her blessing before accepting the role. Niemi gave Rousey the green light, and now it's on.
