Greg Caruso aka #HotDebateGuy was was USC football walk-on: Report

There was a lot of Twitter action going on during Wednesday night's GOP debate — and a lot of the tweeting concerned a man sitting behind CNN debate moderator Jake Tapper who left many social media users wondering who the #HotDebateGuy was?

CBS News says they’ve uncovered the answer, identifying the “unlikely star” as Greg Caruso, the 24-year-old son of billionaire California real estate developer Rick Caruso. The elder Caruso founded Caruso Affiliated, one of the largest privately held real estate companies in the country, and is active in Los Angeles politics.
Caruso is not only a player in the GOP political game, but was also a standout quarterback and defensive back in high school and a walk-on for the USC Trojans football team.

While at USC, where he graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2014, Caruso also was a member of the Trojans football team . He is listed on the roster as a 6-2, 170 pound safety, but doesn’t appear to have played in any games.

Not that it would matter to the number of fans he made last night just by sitting there with his now famous eyebrows.

While the Internet was quick to reveal the identity of #HotDebateGuy, his relationship status is still unknown and he declined to comment on it when asked by CNN. But based on some of the tweets posted about him, there are many people interested in finding out if he is single.

Caruso said he’s a fan of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, but hasn’t picked a favorite candidate in the 2016 primary field.
