Oakland University unveils blacktop inspired basketball court (PHOTO)

Street ball is where most college basketball players get their start so it seemed only logical for the Oakland University athletic department to bring back that "blacktop" look on its home court.

Instead of the traditional asphalt found on streets and playgrounds across the country, the Rochester, Michigan school simply painted its court black.

The NCAA reportedly put the kibosh on chain link nets but, maybe they could use park benches on the Golden Grizzlies sidelines.

Just wondering if the "no blood, no foul" rules will apply?
