Mike Tyson goes off on TV host during live interview (VIDEO)

Mike Tyson has been making the rounds in Toronto promoting his one-man show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, at the Air Canada Centre, this week. He even hung around with Rob Ford, calling the admitted crack smoker “the best mayor in Toronto’s history” as they exited City Hall together on Tuesday.

During a Canadian talk show on Wednesday, when Tyson was asked whether his rape conviction from the 90s would hurt Ford’s mayoral candidacy, the former heavyweight champ became very upset.

Tyson started cursing before threatening the host on live TV. (WARNING: Graphic language).

Although it was a fair question, it seemed like the wrong time time to ask it — since Tyson the actor was appearing on the program to promote his solo show.

And it's the former heavyweight champ!

Tyson was convicted of rape in 1992 and assault in 1998. He pleaded guilty in 2007 to cocaine possession and driving under the influence. His ex-wife, Robin Givens, has accused him of domestic violence; he has not been convicted.

Ford was asked earlier in the day whether he has any problems about meeting with someone who has been convicted of rape. He said: “I’m not going to comment on his personal life.”

Many of Tyson’s remarks echoed Ford’s own excuses for his antics in the past. Tyson said “we all make mistakes,” that Ford has “overcome adversity,” and that Ford has a troubled past only because he has been under “24-hour surveillance” by the media.

Yup. It's the media.
