Soccer star rescues young boy during Spanish stadium fence collapse (VIDEO)

Sixty-eight fans were injured when a fence collapsed at Osasuna's El Sadar stadium during their Primera Division meeting with Real Betis on Sunday.

Out of the confusion and panic of the frightening scene, Real Betis midfielder Alfred N'Diaye was quick to act and carried a young fan to safety from the crowd of battered bodies.

The quick-thinking star jumped into action immediately after celebrations for the home side's 12th-minute opening goal caused the fence between the pitch and the south grandstand to give way.

Surprisingly, the match was suspended for only 35 minutes after the barrier went down and the injured were carried off the sidelines. Fans were asked to move away from the affected area while fans were treated and repairs were made.

After the decision was made to restart, Osasuna ended up winning 2-1. But the dramatic image of a heroic N'Diaye carrying the little boy from the chaos is what fans should really remember.
