Paraguayan soccer player kicks referee in the face after a red card (VIDEO)

Being a soccer referee is never easy but, when you call the shots in some countries, it might be among the most dangerous gigs in the world.

Here's one instance of player-on-referee violence which takes place in soccer-mad Paraguay in the Liga Regional del Sud championship game last week between Coronel Romero and Porvenir.

During the contest Porvenir's Marcos Leguizamon protested a red card by jump-kicking a referee square in the face.

Not surprisingly, the game was halted after the 71st minute melee.  Coronel Romero ended up winning 2-0 — which had been the score when the incident broke out.
