MMA ref watches dangerous choke hold for 10 seconds before stopping fight

An MMA fight that was billed as the "St.Paddy's Day Showdown 3" could have been the final showdown for one cage fighter's life. Watch as the referee stands by and watches the poor guy go completely limp while being choked out and then just stands over the fighter trying to take what could have been his last gasps of air around for over 10 seconds.

At first, the referee taps the limp body of the fighter — maybe to make sure he's not playing possum —then waits a few more seconds before ending the fight.

It's amazingly obvious the guy is out cold and unable to tap out. What's more is amazing that the one guy in the ring there to keep someone from killing the other guy wasn't doing his job.
