Ali is doing fine despite near death reports says daughter

Reports coming from Muhammad Ali's brother on Sunday claiming the boxing legend was so ill he was near death have been refuted by his daughter May May — who claims her father is doing just fine.

The family even tweeted a photo of the 71-year-old boxing great wearing a Baltimore Ravens T-shirt while watching the Super Bowl from his home in Arizona Sunday.

Alis' brother, Rahman Ali, said the former champion was "in a bad way, he's very sick."

"It could be months; it could be days. I don't know if he'll last the summer," Rahman told The Sun tabloid of Britain.

May May said the story was untrue and claimed her uncle was estranged from the family and hasn't seen her dad since the summer.

"He's fine, in fact he was talking well this morning," she said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press.  "These rumors pop up every once in a while but there's nothing to them."

The report of Ali's dire condition was widely posted on the Internet and drew condolences on Twitter and Facebook from all over the world.

Ali's wife, Lonnie, and another daughter, Rasheda, also said "The Greatest" was alive and well.

Ali — who suffers from Parkinson's disease — looks like the champ he always will be.
