Craig Sager goes into stands to prove McLouth's ball was foul

Craig Sager went above and beyond the call of duty at Friday night's ALDS Game 5 between the Yankees and Orioles by venturing into the right field seats of Yankee Stadium to prove Nate McLouth's controversial "foul" ball was indeed outside the right field foul pole.

The intrepid TNT reporter found the fan who caught the controversial ball, showed it to the camera and declared that he "did not detect any yellow paint on it."

Proof enough that the Orioles 6th-inning moon shot didn't nick the pole to make it a home run. The Yankees led 1-0 at the time.

If you don't know what Sager looks like, just look for the loud plaid blazer mixed in with a sea of Yankee blue.

Sager did mention that one usher in section 207 did see the ball hit the pole.  That guy probably had his employee name tag promptly ripped from his chest by the Bleacher Creatures right before he was kicked onto 161st Street.
