Obama: Jets should be 'pretty nervous' about Tebow/Sanchez controversy

It was bound to happen since everyone and their bookie has an opinion about the Tim Tebow-Mark Sanchez quarterback controversy and now the Leader of the Free World has weighed in with his own thoughts about it.

During a campaign stop in Ohio, President Obama made a call into radio station 97.1 The Fan in Columbus Thursday and he had a warning for New York Jets fans.

"I gotta tell you, I don't like the idea of a quarterback controversy at the start of the season, so if I was a Jets fan, I'd be pretty nervous," he said.  "Sanchez is not Tom Brady yet, but he led them to the playoffs two years in a row.  I think Tim Tebow seems to be a wonderful young man, and he's got just a great winning attitude.  He  really steps up when things count."

Does that mean the President is siding with Sanchez— the incumbent?  Shocking.

Obama sounded like he thinks Rex Ryan's executive decision could be a tough one.

"But there's going to be a lot of tension in that situation," Obama added.  "So it'll be interesting to see how it plays itself out."

Jets owner, Woody Johnson, is a powerful fundraiser and big supporter of the Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.

Who knows, by November 7, two incumbents may be out of a job.

    1. Hey! Why can't he have an opinion just like all of us? George Bush wanted to be MLB Commissioner! Nothing wrong with that. Bush and his cohorts left a mess to clean up and it takes a while to turn things around. What would you think if half a sports team announced it was going to do its very best to block a new coach's efforts to improve the situation? You'd be hollering to get rid of the bums, right? Well, that's what Congress did to Obama. I challenge every one, regardless of their political affiliation, to read at least two papers and watch news programs on at least three different stations to get the real truth. One thing the Ds and the Rs have agreed on is that no entity own more than 30% of a market's media.... that's so we will have fairness...so that one side won't have a monopoly to control what we hear. We should listen to several different stations so we know what is really happening. Limiting yourself to just FOX or CNN or whatever ensures that one side or the other CONTROLS YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOUR VOTE!! Be free, think free, vote free.

    3. I was thinking the exact same thing! And to whoever posted the first comment^, no he should be doing his job! He apparently has way too much time on his hands!

He spent half his term self promoting and enjoying the perks that come with the presidency. Now he has time for football? If I was in his place I would be ASHAMED that in this hard economic time, where some people can't even afford a football package, that the public would know I was sitting around watching football.

Yet he talks about corruption and tries to blame the rich for the economy. He doesn't represent the poor, hes rich! I volunteer in a "center for food action" every week. I've been in the soup kitchens. I see al kinds of poverty and desperation. You know what i don't see? I don't see Obama there!

And corruption, well i have one thing to say. It has been proven that he does things to give money to people who donate to his campaign! Where does that money come from? Your taxes.

Obama is "unpatriotic," thats what he said about the national debt, and he made it even worse than bush in ONE term. Bush wasn't the right choice for America, and now Obama isn't either!

You know what is really unpatriotic? Socialism and accepting handouts! It kills the American Dream. If you want to be rich, want to be successful, WORK YOUR BUTT OFF. Like the rest of us who are trying. Last time i checked, the Occupy Wall Street is back down to 3 homeless guys demanding money they havent worked for and that they don't deserve.

A vote AGAINST Obama is a vote FOR America!

    4. Now that is free thinking, thinking for ones self - what a novelty! Too bad there weren't more people in this country who could do that. Too many listen to the likes of Rush Limbaugh...who is nothing but a performer for money...he's not a clever man looking at all side of an issue...he and his ilk are racist bigots...and so are a lot of people in this country, including a majority of the white tea party. I thought we got past that...but I guess not. It's a troubling understone of our country - too often raising it's ugly head. And...the chauvanistic, fat-ole-white boys are still the ones at the top with ALL the money. I guess we will have to wait for them to die off before this country will move forward...but it will move forward, even if it is at a glacier pace right now. John Stewart is the best source for news..he gives all sides equal due...making fun of the ludicrous...of which there is plenty in this country. P.S. and I'm white!

    5. Wow, the only problem with this is that we don't know the whole story. Did he comment on the subject because he was asked about it? I bet he did. Either way, yes he is able to have his own opinion, however I would personally like to hear what exactly his opinion is, on, well, ANYTHING. He doesn't ever seem to give a straight honest answer. All he does is talk around whatever subject is presented. Sports being the exception, sometimes.

      President Obama,
Yes we can, yes we can what?
Change, Change WHAT in What way?
Forward, (which in itself has a lot of european marxism connotations within itself) forward to what?

And please don't change the "tone" or context of our answers depending on who your talking to amymore.

I cannot vote for someone who does not give clear, consistant answers.

All I'm asking for is honesty from our leader, will I get it, NOPE.

Also, to whomever said something about different gods being the answer to getting us out of debt sooner. The point is not about a "god" notice the lowercase g. It is about morals. I am an American because our constitution was established with set morals. You have to have a foundation, something that is establisted and not to be changed in order for everything to work. Other wise, just like all of these coexist people out there, anyone can belive and practice whatever they want and its ok. Just like joe blow around the block that murders his neighbors systematically, and likes to wear their skin around town. We have to coexist, and be ok with that.

Just because someone may like to do something does not make it right. There has to be boundries. The point is not that religion be the answer, but that morals are. And correct me if i'm wrong, but people who have morals usually have God, this time note the uppercase G.

Sincerly a completely and uterly frusterated at Americans, American.

      Stop being so selfish people.

As a matter of fact, I wish he would just quit and spend all his time doing anything but being the President. Where is your proof that Mit Romey put money in other countires. Do you really believe that crap they are saying? They want more tax returns because they can't find anything in Romney's past. Some of you should do a little research and see just how they do politics in Chicago.

    13. LOL He had a majority in Congress for over 2 years and the only thing they got through was a health care bill the majority of this country didn't want. The proof to that is all the Democrats that lost their Congressional seats for helping Obama pass that bill....The Progressives have wanted National health care for decades. Some of you folks may want to do a little more research. That is why Obabma or any politician can convince us of something...they all devide us American(choose a side) and the all (R & Ds ) lie to us.

Why don't all you left wingers let them move in. Obama contubutes less then 1% to charity. Met Romey is over 10% and that doesn't incluse what he gives his church. He pays 38% of his millions in taxes. And he has worked for free as Governor etc for over 10 years. That something no other politician has done. You want to give Obama another four years? With a Republican Congress? Go for it. Maybe we should give this Morman a crack at it. He can't screw it up any worse Then Bush & Obama has.Clinton gave us a surplus working with a Republican Congress. Something you will never seee Obama do.

    15. Actually Romney pays 15% of his millions in taxes as all of his income is generated with long term capital gains, and after all of his deductions his actual tax bill is down to 13%. Capitol gains tax on long term investments is 15%, short term is 35%. he may give 10% to the Mormon Church but that also gives him a large deduction to the government as well. The fact that he wants to give a huge tax break to his rich buddies while increasing taxes on everyone else should give you a clue who he really cares about

If you beleive that morals and god are related then you have been listening and not researching. In the bible it says that Moses gave us the Ten Commandments to live by, yet Moses himself ordered hundreds of thousands of people to be slaughtered while keeping and giving thousands of captured female virgins to his wariors to be their mistresses. It's right there in the bible in the book of Numbers chapter 31. If the ignorant religious right would do their homework they would be ashamed of their "leaders".

    22. Romney and other investors pay 15% tax after the corporations that they have invested in pay approx 40% in taxes. Paying 15% AFTER 40% is already taken out means that investors have a tax rate of approx 50%. Obama would love for Americans to be ignorant of these facts. He can play the Pied Piper and lead the lemmings over the cliff. After his Presidency he will make $25-50 million per year as an author, speaking engagements, etc. He doesn't care what the tax rates are; he will live like a king. We are in an economic war and our president doesn't have one minute of business experience; how foolish to vote him in.

    23. Danny, you claim the Ten Commandments came from God. Where did you get that information? You got it from a book called the Bible, a book comprised of about 1/3 of the Dead Sea Scrolls. I have completely read the Bible, was raised in the Baptist Church and for the last 30 of my 60 years have researched beliefs from Atheism to Zoroastrianism. You obviously have not READ the Bible and are reacting completely out of emotions based on what you have been told. I challenge you Danny to read the 31st chapter of the book of Numbers to see what Moses did to the Midianites. Sincerely, Dale W.

    26. Itwas a comment about the Jets- which as an American- President or not- he is entitled to answer. One thing I can say for sure. Replublicans always raise their ugly heads in the election years. They beleive that being a Republican is akin to being in the Arian Nation. I watched the Republican convention several times, and all I saw was White men in black suits, no woman, no one of color, etc. We need to unite. We live in a county where almost half of the population is hispanic and pretty soon- this little blogs are really going to show your true color. Truth be told-President Obama can have found the cure for cancer, eliminated unemployment, gave every American Citizen 100,000 out of his own pocket, if possible, and it all boils down to color. Be honest, no one likes to. When the Republicans were in office, they blamed everything on The Bushes- especially Baby Bush! Who I met several times in a neighbors home who he was visiting after the last election, in Orange County. Met shook his hand chatted with him. I walkd away shocked that he was the leader of this country ever. But he was a Republican and that was all that mattered. The Romney you all want is the same Rich A***, Mormon, you didn't want the last four years. When I ask my Republican friends why Romney now- NO CAN even answer. So please Racist- stop hiding behind, healthcare, jobs, most of you probably need low- cost healthcare- it's not welfare, most of the people in Colorado, that were shot DID NOT HAVE ADEQUATE HEALTHCARE!!! or NO HEALTHCARE- WHY SHOULD WE LIVE IN THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD AND PEOPLE ARE DYING BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GO TO THE DOCTOR. I live in a country where I have 3 degrees and I am currently working oh my PHd in psychology. I am currently writing a book on Politics and Racism. And guess what- I'm using some of these emails as a current proof source. I hope Romney wins just so all you Arian Nation folks can really be screwed, guess what you are not the folks he cares about. Your'e broke, I'm rich and a Democrat, I'll benefit from all the tax cuts, and the other perks. I'm an American first, and what the Republicans stand for today is not about the American People- it's about the rich people. Take your Hoods off for a moment and step into the light!

    6. Hey, Anonymous (AKA-Coward)...I'm republican, white and a businessman. I like the direction for our country, because we are gaining momentum. No, I don't agree with all this prez has done, but he did not create the financial crap, we (rep.) did. Plus, we (republicans) haven't given him anything but negativity and hate. I don't want to start over, plus do you remember not long ago that we republicans felt that Romney was "unelectable?" Nothings changed! Also, as a Christian, I'd never vote for a mormon. That religion is a cult (meaning demon oriented), against the Holy Bible (accept the parts that feel fit their cult-convenience), don't accept the "Trinity" of the Bible and mormon's are not inclusive. Is that what you want, then, you vote for that and him. But if mitt wins, we'll pretend that alls well, just to cover our butts, BUT, it won't be ok. And before you or others ask: "how can I support a man who's party supports "same sex marriage' here's my answer: "well we republicans said nothing about VP Chaney's lesbian daughter or Ron Reagan's (my all time fav), gay son. Sooo, by virtue of our "silence" we too must accept this life style. Not to mention our recent congressman's desire to pick up men in the bathroom...this prez has done some good things and he works harder than any of our recent men, so, I'm willing to think outside of our "hallowed" secret box. Now for anyone who is feeling obama can't lead because of the color of his skin or because he's a muslim, then you have been disqualified from voting based on the fact that you're just plain stupid.

    12. Obama's Second Term Transformation Plans
The 2012 election has often been described as the most pivotal since 1860. This statement is not hyperbole. If Barack Obama is re-elected the United States will never be the same, nor will it be able to re-capture its once lofty status as the most dominant nation in the history of mankind.

The overwhelming majority of Americans do not understand that Obama's first term was dedicated to putting in place executive power to enable him and the administration to fulfill the campaign promise of "transforming America" in his second term regardless of which political party controls Congress. That is why his re-election team is virtually ignoring the plight of incumbent or prospective Democratic Party office holders.

The most significant accomplishment of Obama's first term is to make Congress irrelevant. Under the myopic and blindly loyal leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats have succeeded in creating an imperial and, in a second term, a potential dictatorial presidency.

During the first two years of the Obama administration when the Democrats overwhelming controlled both Houses of Congress and the media was in an Obama worshipping stupor, a myriad of laws were passed and actions taken which transferred virtually unlimited power to the executive branch.

The birth of multi-thousand page laws was not an aberration. This tactic was adopted so the bureaucracy controlled by Obama appointees would have sole discretion in interpreting vaguely written laws and enforcing thousands of pages of regulations they and not Congress would subsequently write.

For example, in the 2,700 pages of ObamaCare there are more than 2,500 references to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. There are more than 700 instances when he or she is instructed that they "shall" do something and more than 200 times when they "may" take at their sole discretion some form of regulatory action. On 139 occasions, the law mentions that the "Secretary determines." In essence one person, appointed by and reporting to the president, will be in charge of the health care of 310 million Americans once ObamaCare is fully operational in 2014.

The same is true in the 2,319 pages of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act which confers nearly unlimited power on various agencies to control by fiat the nation's financial, banking and investment sectors. The bill also creates new agencies, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, not subject to any oversight by Congress. This overall process was repeated numerous times with other legislation all with the intent of granting unfettered power to the executive branch controlled Barack Obama and his radical associates.

Additionally, the Obama administration has, through its unilaterally determined rule making and regulatory powers, created laws out of whole cloth. The Environmental Protection Agency on a near daily basis issues new regulations clearly out of their purview in order to modify and change environmental laws previously passed and to impose a radical green agenda never approved by Congress. The same is true of the Energy and Interior Departments among many others.

None of these extra-constitutional actions have been challenged by Congress. The left in America knows this usurpation of power is nearly impossible to reverse unless stopped in its early stages.

      Delete
    13. It is clearly the mindset of this administration and its appointees that Congress is merely a nuisance and can be ignored after they were able to take full advantage of the useful idiots in the Democrat controlled House and Senate in 2009-2010 and the Democrat Senate in the current Congress.

Additionally, Barack Obama knows after his re-election a Republican controlled House and Senate will not be able to enact any legislation to roll back the power previously granted to the Executive Branch or usurped by them. His veto will not be overridden as there will always be at least 145 Democratic members of the House or 34 in the Senate in agreement with or intimidated by an administration more than willing to use Chicago style political tactics.

The stalemate between the Executive and Legislative Branches will inure to the benefit of Barack Obama and his fellow leftists.

The most significant power Congress has is the control of the purse-strings as all spending must be approved by them. However, once re-elected, Barack Obama, as confirmed by his willingness to do or say anything and his unscrupulous re-election tactics, would not only threaten government shutdowns but would deliberately withhold payments to those dependent on government support as a means of intimidating and forcing a Republican controlled Congress to surrender to his demands, thus neutering their ability to control the administration through spending constraints.

Further, this administration has shown contempt for the courts by ignoring various court orders, e.g. the Gulf of Mexico oil drilling moratorium, as well as stonewalling subpoenas and requests issued by Congress. The Eric Holder Justice Department has become the epitome of corruption as part of the most dishonest and deceitful administration in American history. In a second term the arrogance of Barack Obama and his minions will become more blatant as he will not have to be concerned with re-election.

Who will be there to enforce the rule of law, a Supreme Court ruling or the Constitution? No one. Barack Obama and his fellow-travelers will be unchallenged as they run roughshod over the American people.

Many Republicans and conservatives dissatisfied with the prospect of Mitt Romney as the nominee for president are instead focused on re-taking the House and Senate. That goal, while worthy and necessary, is meaningless unless Barack Obama is defeated. The nation is not dealing with a person of character and integrity but someone of single-minded purpose and overwhelming narcissism. Judging by his actions, words and deeds during his first term, he does not intend to work with Congress either Republican or Democrat in his second term but rather to force his radical agenda on the American people through the power he has usurped or been granted.

The governmental structure of the United States was set up by the founders in the hope that over the years only those people of high moral character and integrity would assume the reins of power. However, knowing that was not always possible, they dispersed power over three distinct and independent branches as a check on each other.

What they could not imagine is the surrender and abdication of its constitutional duty by the preeminent governmental branch, the Congress, to a chief executive devoid of any character or integrity coupled with a judiciary essentially powerless to enforce the law when the chief executive ignores them

Conservatives, Libertarians, the Republican Party and Mitt Romney must come to grips with this moment in time and their historical role in denying Barack Obama and his minions their ultimate goal. All resources must be directed at that end-game and not merely controlling Congress and the various committee chairmanships.

He could have done anything he wanted to fix the economy. Many of the things the "Republicans block" are things that Obama would do to hurt the economy. 66% of his tax on the "rich" turns out to be a tax on small business. Small businesses create 80% of the jobs in this country. His plan will kill jobs; not make the economy better.

    2. There is a disunity in the country. The socialism that we have been fighting against for about a century has now conquered one of our major political powers, the democrats. There is no compromising with a democrat. To me, it is on the same level as compromising with a Nazi. What conservatives want and what democrats want are very often the opposite. It is time for the Libertarian party to rise up and become the dominant alternative to republicans. Many Libertarian politicians will be for liberally popular legislation like marriage and abortion for all. However, they will not support asinine economic principles that have NEVER worked, no matter how many times they have tried it. In the end, we will have two parties grounded in sound economic principles. The will disagree heavily on major social issues, but at least one party will not represent democratic socialism and the inevitable doom it entails.

It is fair tale BS to control the masses, a book that has been translated and altered so many times none of the stories even really make sense. Not to mention the whole story book is written in the 3rd person. Religion should not even be a factor while running the biggest company on the planet (or what used to be) the United States. We need someone to lead with proven skills. Sadly,(or gladly)the community organizer is not that person. 1. The economy was in a down fall before Bush became the president. Clinton's "Community investment act", which forced banks to loan money to people who had no intentions of paying it back. Obama sued Citi Corp when he was a senator because Citi Corp realized this isn't going to work and turned people down for loans. You can go to youtube and search c-span video clips and see video clips of the Republicans bringing the issue to the senate floor only to be blocked by the Democrats. If you want to take it a step further you can go all the way back to the Jimmy Carter administration, his administration forced banks to approve sub prime mortgages. It's fun to place blame on the D party or R party, but the truth is, today's failed economy is the result of many administrations in office, not just G.W. Bush.
If WE want the people in DC to make changes, WE, the people, need to change our attitudes. We need them (people in office) to realize they work for us, not the other way around. As soon as WE work for them, then WE, will have limited freedom at best! Get off the D and R thing, that's exactly what they want. That's why both sides politicize almost everything that has nothing to do with what they should be doing.

  52. Obama, What a shocker he would have a slanted slur towards a Christian quarterback, Tim Tebow. I sure the president is much more knowledgable about football than Rex Ryan. As far as Bush goes, if the Trade Centers hadn't been destroyed by Islamic Terrorists, he wouldn't had to spend all that defense money. By the way, it amazes me that the New York people even considered allowing a mosque to be built on the Trade Center site and the president didn't voice a strong opinion on that. Instead, Chic Fila gets attacked for their president stating his Christian beliefs. They give more to charity and underprivileded youths than any company I am aware of. Why don't the gay community ask the Islamic who wants to build his mosque his opinion on gay marriage. Iran publicly executed two 14 year old males for just getting caught kissing. Publically hanged. Christian don't agree with homesexuality, but true Christian point out their beliefs and forgive not execute. Obama has had his turn and it has been a disaster. If you think he was bad the first four years, wait and see what he does when a reelection campaign doesn't loom in the future. So, Obama, focus on fixing the country and don't be so egotistical that you think you know more than a professional football coach. And by the way, the first year Tebow got to play in Denver, he turned a 0-4 team around, got them into the playoffs, and won a game. Doesn't sound to bad when the starter you had to learn from was horrible. I think he will be good for Sanchez. Having a person who is positive and believes all things are possible is good to have around. I guarantee you will see him celebrating for Sanchez every time he succeeds and picking his spirits up when he fails. And when he comes in to play the wildcat, he will give it 100%. Again, what more can you asked of someone? I have never like the Jets but they have a new fan.

So Romeny outsources the majority of his jobs including having the uniforms for the US Olympics team, when he was in charge to be made overseas. How do you think he will rebuild the economy giving away jobs that we don't already have. First of all, when he campaigned in the last election he made some pretty big promises about getting our country on the right track----he still has not lived up to those promises (most politicians do not) and in fact, I think most would agree it has gotten worse. If I was hired by a large Fortune 500 company to come in and straighten out a troubled company----they would expect and demand it be done in a whole lot less time than four years. I also expect the same for my president, no matter what party he is affilliated. We need to quit playing partisan politics and be truthful and admit when our country is heading backwards. Is Romney the right man, I do not know for positive. I do know we have gotten no where with President Obama. We do need a change.

Those who sit on their butts and drain the blood out of our economy like a bunch of ticks will vote for Obama. The problem is I think there are more ticks out there now than good honost hardworking American. Makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  66. This is about him commenting on sports not politics. People you need to get your head out of your butts. This isn't a dictatorship. Presidents don't run this country, Congress does! Maybe if term limits were slapped on them lobbyists may just lose their steam. Look at how long some of these people have been running the show. One of the posters was right. Lobbyists run the media too. You might want to step back and take a good look at all of the different outlets. You'll be shocked at what you see! Are you free or are you going to look back wishing you still were. The negative focus on this president is the wrong thing to be doing.

  70. I think it's funny that the general public worries so much about what the President is doing but fail to care about the people in the Congress. The President is a fan of the game of football and basketball. That's no secret. Let him be a fan. If you don't agree with what he is doing, vote in November. If you agree, vote in November. In either case, the best thing that you can do is vote. Personally, Mit is not the right person. He doesn't understand me or people like me that work hard to give their children a good chance to be sucessful when they become adults. I worked for everything that I have and never received a day of government assistance. Mit had a lot given to him. I'm not mad at him for that. I just don't trust a person who can't follow the example of their parents. George Romney set the standard on releasing tax returns. Mit needs to follow suit. Prove that you are like the rest of us, come clean. Now back to sports, dancing horses are nothing like hard hitting football. I love horses and riding them but I'm a Redskins fan true and true. Bad years and all. Can't wait until next week when pre-season begins. Remember that less than half of the eligible Americans will not vote in the election. Which side of the vote question will you be on?

Since the Republicans took over in 2007 social security recipants have received a $40.00 increase in the past five year. Now thats watching out for the poor, do you want to guess how much their pay has increased, let me help you a minum of $3500 per year. 78. Although Bush did more than enough stupid things that I will always make fun of, the GDP was record breaking high, it was easy to find jobs and the biggest complaint we had was that gas prices were getting over three dollars a gallon and we were in a war that every single person wanted after the 9/11 bombings. Even though right now everyone wants out of the war, people forgot we were attacked. He had, at one point, the highest approval percentage of any president EVER. The housing bubble that popped you really can’t blame entirely on him. The economy was booming. So to say Obama is fixing the work that he left behind from eight years of being in the office is asinine. And to address your argument: 60 billion in renewable and clean energy and another 2 billion in solar power. Have you seen a jump in wind mills and solar systems? That is an insane number, most of it went to companies that reported they worked on the development of new technology but need more money to do it. “Doubled funding for bicycle and walking projects,” you know millions of those dollars went to stupid things like dog parks. Please get the list you will find hundreds of ridicules investments. In a way it makes sense we needed those bike and walking projects because nobody has money to put gas in their car. I am amazed that you would list that as a crowning achievement of a president. Helped out nearly a million people with jobs, he displaced many of those jobs when he shut down American companies from drilling offshore and allowed other companies, that aren’t in America, to do the same drilling in the same gulf, while at the same time millions more lost their jobs. And the bailout of the auto company is a deep discussion that may all be theoretical with the AIG scandal and all of the other stories I am. I am still split with that decision because the demand for vehicles would still be there making other companies hire more people, I see both sides but a note to that argument is that government owned auto company just built a plant in Mexico to shut down operations in the states. He is trying to play Robin Hood by giving to the poor and people love it. While he has been in the rich have gotten less money and the poorer have become even poorer, nobody is winning. To give Obama credit for bin Laden’s death may be the dumbest thing ever even he wouldn’t take credit for that. You really think he controls or even understands military operations. They tell him their ideas and he says yes or no. The fact is the navy seals have formed a Pac to get rid of Obama because they are so furious that he let their identity be known. You know the price he put on the heads of the people there and their families because of that. The economy is a crazy thing to comprehend or even understand. And although Romney has a lot of faults it is clear the guy knows how to make money, isn’t that exactly what we need right now. People keep saying he doesn’t understand me because he is rich as if he never put in an eighty or hundred hour week himself. The occupy Wall Street movement made just as much sense. Let’s camp out and make fun of the people that are working while we complain we have nothing but we have an entitlement that someone should take care of us. Romney has money offshore, and that’s legal to do. He also hasn’t sent in tax returns. He sent in all that was required. He made his millions with companies that were struggling and he came in and fixed them, is that not exactly what we all want right now. While Obama is very likable and has done many good things and has had some impressive march madness bracket picks not a single thing you mentioned is a good thing, or a reason to vote for him. Every group or segment of people (higher to lower class income bracket) is worse off since he has taken office.

9/11 made Bush look good for about a month. That is why him and the rest of the oil cartel in America created it. Three building all coming down the same way, give me a break. The rest of the politicians just go along for the free money they collect from the lobbyist. Doing nothing of meaning for the common person.

He admitted it was to be demolished, then changed his wording. There also was a film crew from the middle east that came here to film the destruction. When question they said, they got a tip. Police stopped their van but later on released them to go back to their own country.

I think Tebow is an okay dude, but like Jesus said, pray where you can't be seen; and don't go around making religion an issue...It's just like these stupid Tea Party people complaining about our "Muslim" President... I am a Conservative Independent from Chicago, and personally, I think of Obama as an overall smart guy and pretty good dude... Luckily, we'll have another term with Obama, and then Jeb Bush...The righties will try and say things that can be shot down...

    A) We can't have a Muslim as President...
Uhhh...Obama has said he's a Christian, good enough for me...

    B) He's going to bankrupt America...
We can't go bankrupt because we can always make more money...

I am constantly amazed at the freaking incompetence of the right... It's going to be so awesome when Obama gets another term and we're still chugging along...

I'm constantly laughing in the face if of the the righties... They always will use some lame ass excuse they hear on Fox News like Obama is ruining or country or he's turning us into Europe... I say, look around, if we were like Europe, then why are we making so much progress. I see things happening all the time on my way to work...We got jobs coming up all over... And they're switching buildings up here to solar panels...

Personally, i think the GOP made a wrong move by putting Romney in... The south will never vote for him because he's Mormon. And we already embraced Obama...So it's pretty much a slam dunk win for Mr. Obama...

That's the idea of Fox right, the constantly are trying to smear Obama to look like a freaking Muslim.

You are only complaining because its not a HUGE change that you approve of. No, it isnt at a level that is highly noticable yet, but change has happened, and lots of americans have been back to work. To fix a 8 year problem in 4 years is IMPOSSIBLE.

So stop whining. If Mitt Romney was in office, he wouldnt do any better of a job, and the same people would be complaining all over again.

  88. I don't know what are you all talking about? The economy is doing fine. Markets are up (way more than under Bush) Unemployment is well under 10%. Not too shabby compared with most of the world.
Those who have skills and desire can always find a job. Or start a business and next year they won't need to worry about health insurance. For others - military is hiring. McDonalds also always needs motivated people.

Besides, all you repubes wanted to have a beer with Bushie in 2000... no complaints there... so shut up about football.

But on a serious note...Obama got the useless congress to pass healthcare. A feat that eluded every president since Roosevelt.
However you feel about the bill (and I assure you, your feelings have nothing to do with the bill itself) its a monumental achievement to have a country where everyone can now purchase insurance.
Besides, all separate provisions of the ACA have 80% approval and the entire country hates "freeloaders" in concept but Tea Party REPUBES are too dumb or too stubborn to acknowledge a that the "mandate" is the only way to address that.) So all the naysayers are nothing more than lying hypocrites who even lie to themselves.

Another point: Dems have passed HUNDREDS of bills to move the economy between 2008-2010 but the REPUBES hate dems way more than they love the country...so they filibustered America's future. So lets put the blame where it's due!!!

  94. Many have no idea as to how this country is run! We are fed and leaked, 'tidbits', inconsistencies, blatant lies, and bloated propaganda! People who are lucky enough to sit in positions in which taxpayers are (forced) to make them rich, are surrounded by others who are (supposed) to be experts in their particular fields. Other so-called "accomplished" well compensated (with our monies) people, are supposedly serving the "president" and "fixing" things. This gives the 'criminal' top people like the "President" and Congress the time and space to enjoy their lives as they intended to do in the first place! The real problem is that there are wealthy/powerful "elite' running/robbing this country systematically and it's they who choose the politicians and other government officials to function as their "surrogates"! "We the people" are systematically and intentionally misled and lied to on every level! So how could you know that the things we fixate about "our" nation and it's political machinations are all twisted, skewed, warped, deceptive, criminal, and just all wrong! We are left-out of this distorted loop, and very little of (our) taxes will benefit us, or the good things we desire and deserve! Even worse, we are left so confused and misled, that we blame and hate each other instead of the real culprits, "The Usual Suspects"! Try to understand that the word "government" has been purposely twisted/distorted in our minds! What we call "government" consists of these crook politicians and other top officials helping the elite and themselves steal and misappropriate our tax dollars. They have purposely caused (what they themselves defined) the "financial crisis" in order to extort trillions of dollars to themselves! They use our tax monies to (lavishly) pay the 'best' economic, financial, psychological, etc., minds to help them! At this point it doesn't matter [who] they use as their 'surrogates' because the con-game is intricately run and 'we the people' are literally screwed!

Bush was handed a balanced budget and a pay as you go government that was paying down the deficit when he became president. Eight years of Clinton Gore gave the country that and a smaller government that they inherited. Eight years of Bush Chaney gave us two wars, an explosion of the size of government, a tax cut the country did not need, (and I never saw) a budget surplus gone, a runaway deficit, the economic collapse of 2008 and the start of the TARP bailouts just to name a few. Everyone the the government agreed with the economists the the bailout was needed to prevent a total melt down.
If you drive a GM or Chrysler product or have anything to do with the US auto industry you need to thank Obama. Romney was against the auto bailout as were most of the Republicans and Tea Partiers. Osama Bin Laden is dead, we are out of Iraq and winding down in Afghanistan, the Dow is at 13000 and US corporations are in great shape and sitting on 3 trillion dollars of assets.
Romney provided 23 years of tax returns to John McCain when McCain was looking the a VP before the last election. McCain chose Sara Palin. What's in those tax returns to make McCain take Palin over Romney? And the list goes on and on. Please people, get by the petty crap and wake up. It took 40 years to create the mess we are in, so how can you expect to correct it in 1, 2, 3, 4, or even 8 years. It is not about you or who is going to run the huddle in a pro football game, it's about you children and your grandchildren.
Let the man have an opinion about the same thing you do and support the holder of the highest office in the land because that is what we do as Americans! I never voted for Bush and did not like his policies but I took my 12 year old son to a reelection campaign stop in our town because he was the President and I have to support the office. Try it, you might like it. And I and my business are better off now than we were 4 years ago!

Most of the comments are so stupid, one can see that our education system has failed in their responsibility to educate. What a shame? According to the polls I have seen, 86% of Americans claim to be christians, but from the morals I have seen I would say that we christians represent less than 50%. By the way, the last two years of the Bush group, the Democrats controlled the Senate and Congress. Actions taken by Franks and Dodd put this country down when they passed legislation that gave all Americans the right to live the American dream, buy a home, no money down nor proof of their ablilty to pay. Foolish, continue to put liberals in office and you will have to live with the results. It is your right to vote as you see fit, therefore you must accept the responsibility of your actions.
