Lamar Odom's reality show canceled so he can focus on NBA

First the good news.  There will be one less Kardashian on television this upcoming season.  Now the bad news.  Lamar Odom may be joining your favorite NBA team next season.

Odom and his wife Khloe Kardashian who headline "Khloe & Lamar" are ending their E! series, according to TMZ.

The couple have been benched from their reality show and will not return for a third season so the struggling NBA player can get his game back on track, it was reported.

Odom— who was recently put on the NBA's "inactive" list— will return to Los Angeles full time and has hired a trainer to help him get back in shape for his NBA comeback.

The Queens, N.Y. native was traded to the Dallas Mavericks last year after winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.

After a few good seasons with the Lakers, Odom seemed to mope about the trade and mostly languished on the Dallas bench.  He started only four games and averaged a career low 6.6 points before he butted heads with Mavs owner Mark Cuban.  Cuban questioned the forward's commitment to the team, asking him "are you in or out?"

The 32-year old Odom's "inactive" status puts any chance of playing for Team USA in the 2012 Olympics in jeopardy. He was being considered for the team until his departure from the Mavericks, according to reports.

E! hasn't commented on a decision about the show but there was no mention of "Khloe & Lamar" when the network unveiled some programming announcements yesterday.

Both husband and wife are notorious tweeters but had nothing on Twitter regarding their show but, don't you worry — all you Kardashian Krazies— you can bet this couple will pop up again somewhere on the K! channel.
